We're looking for a highly analytical and motivated QESH Analyst to support our national QESH team based in Duxford, Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or early-career professional with a passion for sustainability, environmental performance, quality improvement, and data-driven decision making.
Working closely with our QESH Manager, Health & Safety Manager, Fleet Manager, and Quality Manager, you will play a key role in supporting business-wide initiatives, reporting performance indicators, and driving continual improvement projects that positively impact our people, customers, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and report QESH and ESG performance data across environmental, quality, fleet, and health & safety activities.
- Support reporting for key metrics including greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, waste, water usage, vehicle performance, customer complaints, incidents, and quality defects.
- Undertake research and analysis to identify opportunities for business improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Develop data-driven business cases to support investment and continual improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the design, implementation, monitoring and verification of QESH improvement projects.
- Maintain QESH management systems and documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reporting integrity.
- Produce content and communications for intranet updates, events, training programmes, and awareness campaigns.
- Support internal audits and external certification audits including ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and FORS.
- Analyse audit findings and performance trends to support ongoing improvement activities.
- Support supplier management activities, procurement exercises, and business integration projects.
- Contribute to global sustainability initiatives alongside SMT Group colleagues across Europe, the USA, and Africa.

About You
To be successful in this role, you'll be naturally curious, highly organised, and able to transform complex data into meaningful insights that support business decisions.
You Will Have
- A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and data-processing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced IT skills and confidence using databases, reporting tools, and business systems.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent organisational, administrative, numeracy, and literacy skills.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and problem solving.
- A genuine interest in environmental performance, quality management, and health & safety.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Master's degree in an Environmental, Sustainability, or related discipline.
- Membership of ISEP (Institute of Sustainability & Environmental Professionals) or a similar professional body.
- Experience working with management systems or certification standards.
- Previous exposure to ESG, sustainability reporting, or continuous improvement projects.
