Job Description
EIS Waste Services Ltd, a waste management & recycling company in Aberdeen, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QHSE & Compliance Lead to join our highly motivated team at our recycling facility in Aberdeen. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) compliance across all our operations. You will develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of waste management processes, with a commitment to promoting a safe and sustainable working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Evaluate QHSE management systems, policies, and procedures in the workplace environment.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments with external and internal parties.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Provide QHSE training and support to staff throughout the business.
- Provide QHSE review expertise and support during tenders, contract negotiations and execution of projects.
- Investigate and report on accidents and incidents, identifying areas for improvement.
- Own and maintain the Integrated Management System in line with the requirements of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001.
- Regularly participating in toolbox talks to get a better understanding of the operational situation and encourage QHSE engagement.
Qualifications and Requirements

- Proven experience in a QHSE role.
- Strong knowledge of QHSE management systems, current legislation and best practice.
- Previous Experience with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
- Experience and accredited in conducting Audits and Investigations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, guide, and support personnel in adhering to QHSE procedures at EIS. Experienced in resolving operational issues, promoting a safety-first culture, and ensuring clear, consistent messaging across teams.
- Attention to detail whilst working in a busy office environment.
- Research skills backed up by effective and practical written procedures.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Certificates in Health and Safety (IOSH)
