Job title: QHSE Coordinator
Based from: Gloucester
Region covered: UK & Europe
Reports to: Group QHSE Manager
Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
The Role
As the QHSE Coordinator you will assist with maintaining our management systems in relation to H&S, Environmental, Quality and Information Security. You will assist the companies within the group to meet their commitments and legislative requirements in relation to QHSE standards. You will ensure that the company's procedures and forms are kept up to date to meet or exceed its various accreditation schemes' requirements with support from the Group QHSE Manager. You will also assist with ensuring compliance to external certificating bodies (BAFE, LPCB, NSI etc) through regular audits and reviews.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Liaising with internal stakeholders on Health & Safety matters and where necessary, assisting in the implementation of training programmes including management of the company e-learning training portals
- Maintaining the Group's current Management Systems and assisting with the transition to any updated standards as they are introduced (ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and others as they become relevant)
- Completing EHS Inductions for new starters
- Carrying out audits of the company processes and procedures, and creating and implementing, where required, improvement recommendations as necessary
- Supporting the Group QHSE Manager in maintaining third party accreditation for the Management Systems (ISO) including third party external bodies; BAFE, NSI, LPCB, SSIP etc.
- Maintaining all client portals for tender and pre-qualification (PQQ) arrangements on an ongoing basis
- Assisting with reviewing and updating the company's policies, procedures and forms, ensuring compliance is maintained and that these are communicated through the company
- Logging all accidents, near misses and support the accident and incident investigation process where required
- Issuing out annual DSE assessment reviews and liaising with the QHSE Manager to assist with individuals needs
- Promoting positive wellbeing, health & safety awareness and driving the company “Safety First” culture
- Monitoring and logging environmental KPI's and reporting on a monthly basis
- Monitoring Quality related KPI's as required (call out stats, False alarms etc.)
- Any other duties specified by your line manager

Person Specification
Essential
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Excellent attention to detail and an organised and logical approach
- Ability to work using own initiative as well as within a team
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to be able to speak to peers and all levels of management in a confident and professional manner
- Good IT literacy and understanding of Microsoft Packages
- Full clean driving license
- GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English & Maths
Desirable
- NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- A Background in Construction Health and Safety or Fire & Security
- Internal or Lead Auditor training
- Membership to IOSH and/or IEMA or equivalent bodies
- NEBOSH Environmental or IEMA Environmental Training
- COSHH Awareness
- CDM Awareness
- Mental Health first Aider/ First Aider/ Fire Marshal
- An interest in technical aspects of life safety (fire alarms), gas suppression or security systems (CCTV, intruder, access control) would be of benefit to the employee but not a requirement as training will be provided.

Working Conditions
Due to the nature of this position, it can be expected that there will be extended periods of time spent using Display Screen Equipment along with travelling between GBE Converge Company offices.

- Compliance to all legislative and British Standard requirements
- Compliance to associated accreditation bodies schemes from NSI, BAFE, LPCB, FIA and others as required
- Maximise customer satisfaction with the services provided by GBE Converge
- Working to reduce, renew and recycle any waste on and off our sites including our offices
- Protect the environment and ensure use of toxic materials is avoided where possible
- Work to best safe practice and ensure actions do not cause harm unto themselves or others
- Employees will not tamper with any issued PPE or plant machinery that it may cause harm unto themselves or others
- Ensure all minimum training requirements are met in compliance with the relevant ISO standards
- Ensure that any Information Technology ‘incidents' are effectively reported and resolved in a timely fashion (internally or externally)
- Maintain clear desk and screen at all times
- Compliance to ensure no deliberate breaches in security information and/ or systems
