QHSE Engineer – Offshore

Location: Norfolk, UK (onsite, with offshore visits)
Contract: Ongoing, monthly timesheet
Hours: 12 hrs/day

The Role

As QHSE Engineer, you'll join infrastructure and civil projects supporting the company's wider operations, taking day-to-day responsibility for coordinating and supervising all QHSE matters on site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise the workforce on QHSE matters; deliver training, inductions and toolbox talks
  • Carry out audits and inspections to ensure QHSE programmes are effective
  • Recommend improvements and follow up on implementation
  • Complete risk assessments and support the rollout of control measures
  • Maintain and continuously improve the QHSE management system
  • Escalate and communicate key QHSE issues and improvement initiatives to the QHSE department
  • Support investigation of incidents — gathering documentation, tracking corrective actions and confirming their effectiveness
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant labour legislation and codes of practice

Technical Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in a similar QHSE role
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of VCA
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
  • Fit for offshore work

Qualifications & Certification

  • MSc in Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience), OR MSc in Safety Engineering / Prevention Advisor Level 1
  • Basic Safety Training (CSCS/VCA or equivalent)
  • NEBOSH qualification highly preferred

Eligibility & Languages

  • UK residency or valid UK visa/work permit required
  • Fluent English (written and spoken) essential; additional languages a plus
