QHSE Engineer - UK

UTM Consultants are looking for a QHSE Engineer in the UK, you will be involved in infrastructure/civil projects that complement and reinforce our clients’ activities. You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of all QHSE related matters.

Primary Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Advise the workforce regarding QHSE matters and organize and give trainings, inductions and toolbox meetings
  • Execute audits and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of QHSE programs
  • Give recommendations for improvement and reassure follow-up of their implementation
  • Complete internal risk assessment and help to implement the measures
  • Support, maintain and improve our QHSE system
  • Escalate and communicate important QHSE issues and improvement initiatives to the QHSE department
  • Assist in the review and follow up on investigation of incidents by gathering relevant documentation and by following up on the implementation of corrective actions. You will also follow up on the effectiveness of solutions taken
  • Provide good knowledge of country labour legislation and codes of practice whilst keeping up to date with new legislation and any developments.

Technical Profile Requirements

    • 7 years’ experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Very Good knowledge of VCA.
  • Very Good Knowledge about ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Fit for Offshore work.

Methodology/Certification Requirements

  • MSC/MSc Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanic Engineering, Chemical Engineering OR equivalent through experience OR MSc Degree Safety Engineering, prevention advisor level 1

Required Certification

  • Basic Safety Training CSCS/VCA or equivalent
  • Nebosh qualification is highly preferred

Language Proficiencies

  • Fluent proficiency in English is required (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
