We're looking for a QHSE Manager to support Rock Power Connections and help deliver the Power and Grid QHSE strategy. You will provide practical QHSE leadership, ensure compliance with legal and company requirements, and drive continual improvement across high-risk construction, electrical and utility operations.
Role Responsibilities
- Drive the Rock Power Connections QHSE strategy, objectives and KPIs, supporting a proactive culture and continual improvement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality legislation, company policies and safe systems of work.
- Support the integration of Mitie procedures and ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including external audits.
- Monitor performance, investigate incidents, produce reports and provide QHSE guidance to operational leadership teams.
- Lead, support and develop the RPC QHSE team, deliver training and maintain visible QHSE leadership through regular site visits.
Required Qualifications
- NEBOSH Diploma in Health & Safety and Environmental Management (or equivalent) and a Lead Auditor qualification for ISO standards.
- Proven experience managing QHSE teams, systems and KPIs, with a track record of driving continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of QHSE legislation, CDM regulations, temporary works and safe systems of work.
- Full UK Driving License.

- Experience within construction, utilities, electrical infrastructure or other high-risk operational environments.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to support and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience delivering audits, incident investigations and compliance programmes.
- Analytical mindset with strong reporting and IT skills.
- A proactive approach to promoting a positive safety, environmental and quality culture.
