Every day, North Star vessels operate in some of the most demanding environments in the world.
Our crews deliver safety-critical services to offshore installations across the North Sea, providing emergency response, rescue, and specialist maritime support that millions rely upon, but few ever see.
Behind every safe operation, every successful audit, every lesson learned, and every risk avoided is a team committed to raising standards and doing the right thing.
We're looking for a QHSSE Advisor to be part of that team.
This is an opportunity to step into a highly influential role where you'll work alongside vessel crews, operational leaders, and technical specialists to strengthen safety, improve performance, and ensure operational excellence across our fleet of Emergency Response & Rescue Vessels (ERRVs), Multi Role Support Vessels (MRSVs), and Platform Supply Vessels (PSVs).
Why This Role Matters
This isn't a role spent sitting behind a desk reviewing procedures.
You'll be out engaging with vessel teams, travelling across the fleet, investigating incidents, leading audits, challenging the status quo, and helping operational teams solve real-world problems.
You'll be a trusted advisor, a coach, an investigator, and an advocate for continual improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
