Role: QHSSE Business Partner

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Oldbury, 1 day per week working from home (Regular travel to SGS UK sites, occasional overnight stays required)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5:30pm

Salary: Competitive salary, including a company vehicle, bonus & much more

Job Description

We're looking for a QHSSE Business Partner to support a diverse range of business lines across the UK, including Petrochemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Food, Environmental, Asbestos and related industries.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Partnering with operational teams to promote a strong QHSSE culture across multiple business lines
  • Conducting site visits, audits, inspections and compliance reviews
  • Supporting risk assessments, safe systems of work and legal compliance activities
  • Leading and supporting incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Assisting with the development and improvement of management systems
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the business
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and driving positive change
  • Supporting the delivery of SGS's sustainability, quality and safety objectives

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is passionate about safety, quality and continuous improvement, with the confidence to influence others and build strong working relationships across a complex business.

You may already be working as a QHSSE Advisor, HSE Manager, Quality Manager, Compliance Manager or Business Partner and be looking to take the next step in your career within a global organisation.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems
  • Experience conducting internal audits, driving compliance and supporting management systems
  • Experience managing incidents, investigations and corrective actions
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
