Key Responsibilities

Do you have quantitative experience? Do you like to get involved in design, modelling, and delivery of systematic investment strategies?

We are looking for someone like that to:

  • Support the design, development, and implementation of quantitative models and analytics for the QIS business, spanning strategy research, pricing, risk, and lifecycle management
  • Contribute to the modelling and prototyping of new QIS strategies, working alongside senior Quants and partnering with Trading, Structuring, and Sales
  • Develop robust quantitative tools and workflows that help QIS Trading manage, analyse, and hedge risk
  • Assist in the transformation of the QIS calculation stack, including migration towards a strategic, cloud-based architecture, in collaboration with IT and platform teams
  • Support internal and external stakeholders — including clients, third-party calculation agents, and internal platform teams — helping ensure the robustness, transparency, and scalability of QIS analytics
  • Build effective working relationships with Trading, Structuring, Sales, Quant, IT, and Risk partners in London and across regions

The Team

QIS Quants deliver best-in-class quantitative solutions for clients and trading functions of UBS' Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) business, part of Global Markets. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the design, modelling, and delivery of systematic investment strategies, along with the analytics and tooling that support their full lifecycle from conception to production and client delivery. You will develop models, applications, and workflows within UBS' proprietary cloud-based quantitative analytics platform (ACQA), working closely with Trading, Structuring, Sales, Quant, and IT partners globally. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career quant to learn from experienced practitioners while making a measurable contribution to QIS strategy innovation, risk management, and scalable production.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
