QHSE Advisor / Systems Coordinator
Consultant Secondment

About the Role
We are looking for a QHSE Advisor/Systems Coordinator to work as a consultant, seconded into one of our clients — an oil & gas operator managing a live field development alongside other upcoming projects. You'll work under the direction of the client's QHSE Manager, providing flexible delivery and coordination support across their Integrated Management System (IMS), digital tools, corporate governance and project activities.
This is initially a flexible contract engagement, with deployment scaling between part-time and full-time according to workload — increasing through key project phases including well preparation and execution. For the right candidate, there is scope for this role to transition into a permanent staff position within the business.
The balance of responsibilities will vary according to programme priorities, so we're looking for someone comfortable adapting scope as demand shifts across concurrent workstreams.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting consolidation of the client's Business Management System (BMS) and Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) into a single IMS, and its ongoing implementation, maintenance and improvement
- Developing, administering and improving QHSE SharePoint libraries, registers, workflows and reporting arrangements
- Coordinating document review, approval, issue, communication and periodic review activities
- Maintaining corporate and project risk, action, assurance, compliance and management-of-change records
- Monitoring actions, review dates and assurance commitments, and supporting timely close-out
- Compiling QHSE performance information and preparing routine reports, dashboards and meeting inputs
- Supporting the planning and delivery of audits, reviews, inspections and other assurance activities
- Assisting with contractor QHSE reviews, information requests, performance monitoring and interface coordination
- Providing QHSE coordination and delivery support to an active field development project
- Supporting well preparations, execution monitoring, reporting and close-out under the direction of the client's QHSE Manager
- Maintaining regulatory, permitting and compliance trackers and supporting coordination of required submissions and evidence
- Preparing QHSE communications, guidance and training materials, and supporting user adoption of new systems and processes
- Escalating material risks, overdue actions, compliance concerns and emerging issues to the QHSE Manager

What We're Looking For
- Experience in a QHSE coordination, systems or advisory role, ideally within oil & gas, energy, or another highly regulated operational environment
- Strong working knowledge of management systems (BMS/SEMS/IMS or equivalent) and document control practices
- Confident with SharePoint (or similar platforms) for registers, workflows and reporting
- Well organised, with the ability to track and drive closure of actions, risks and assurance commitments across multiple workstreams
- Clear, professional written communication for reports, dashboards and stakeholder updates
- Comfortable working flexibly across corporate governance and live project/well activity, with workload that will scale up during peak delivery periods
- A proactive, risk-based mindset, with good judgement on when to escalate
- Comfortable working as a consultant embedded within a client team, representing our standards while integrating into the client's ways of working
