Overview

Job Description

Perform process /product audits to various assembly processes to identify and assess conformance to Standard Work Instructions and Lean Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

  • Verify, document, and communicate audit results, and evaluate the effectiveness of corrective action / follow-up through Red tag closure and tracking.
  • Participate in, lead, and facilitate improvement teams.
  • Participate in writing procedures, standard work, and visual aides to support production.
  • Assist in product testing and calibrating tools and equipment, according to plant standards.
  • Administer the non-conforming material warehouse when required.
  • Actively participate in Lean activities and Kaizen events.
  • Conduct and participate in training associates in mechanical / electrical assembly methods.
  • Conduct voice for the customer audits and inspect current production for items found.
  • Assist in defect tracking and data collection.
  • Assist Quality Engineer and Lead PFMEAs, Control Plans, CARS, SCARS and PCARs
  • Assist in developing new processes and procedures to improve quality and productivity during the manufacturing processes.
  • Assist QE and Quality Manager with TOP20 tracking and root cause analysis.
  • Assist with ISO audits and ensure procedures are followed.
  • Assist in other quality related duties as assigned.

Based on Daily Work Schedule of 5-day work week, 8 hour shift with overtime requirements:

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma with at least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to professionally influence others without having direct authority.
  • Handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
  • Knowledge of the Refrigeration Industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality management System.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interface across all departments.
  • Basic computer skills are required with a good understanding of Word, Excel and BaaN.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to lead teams.
  • Ability to apply and understand the standards and principles of process / product auditing techniques such as examining, questioning, evaluating, and reporting.
