Interim Financial Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Interim Financial Accountant to join our client's finance team during an exciting period of transition and growth.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will work alongside the Finance Manager to support the delivery of key financial outputs, strengthen financial controls, and help embed improvements across the finance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys improving processes, strengthening controls, and providing valuable financial insight within a dynamic business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation, review, and delivery of monthly management accounts and senior management reporting.
- Lead and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support year-end activities and coordinate with external auditors as required.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Support the management of banking relationships and invoice finance facilities.
- Monitor daily cash positions and highlight risks or opportunities to senior management.
- Contribute to improving cash management processes and reporting visibility.
- Support the implementation of enhanced financial procedures and reporting practices.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Contribute to pricing reviews, profitability analysis, and commercial decision-making.
- Provide timely financial insight and analysis to support business performance.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to improve financial understanding and decision-making.

About You
You will be a qualified accountant with strong technical expertise, excellent attention to detail, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Essential Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CA/CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Strong understanding of group accounting, including intercompany reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality outputs within a short-term engagement.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
