Join a thriving accountancy practice in Worksop

Are you a qualified accountant looking for your next step with a firm that genuinely values its people and its clients? We're looking for someone who loves building relationships as much as they love getting the numbers right.

Location: Worksop (office based)
Hours: 37.5 hrs/week, 5 days
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Reports to: Practice Owner
Salary: A GBP 45,000

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing and developing your own varied portfolio of clients across the industrial, transport and farming sectors
  • Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax computations and returns
  • Giving clients clear, timely advice on personal and corporate tax matters
  • Preparing statutory and management accounts to a high standard
  • Building strong, lasting client relationships through regular contact and meetings
  • Getting hands-on with TaxCalc, Kashflow, QuickBooks, Xero, Dext, Word and Excel
  • Liaising with HMRC and other bodies on behalf of clients
  • Staying sharp on the latest tax legislation, accounting standards and best practice
  • Working as part of a team - no formal line management required

What We're Looking For

  • A qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CTA or equivalent) with solid practice experience
  • Confident managing your own client portfolio from start to finish
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK personal and corporate tax
  • A natural relationship-builder who enjoys client contact
  • Comfortable working across modern accounting software
  • A team player who's happy to share knowledge and support colleagues
