Working closely with schools and trusts, our experienced team delivers personalised guidance aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks, with a strong focus on positive destinations and reducing the risk of young people becoming NEET.
Role Description
This is a FREELANCE Opportunity only. The Qualified Career Advisor will provide one-to-one and group career guidance to students in secondary schools across Oxfordshire/Berkshire/Buckinghamshire. This contract role involves conducting career assessments, exploring options, and developing personalised action plans that support career development, transitions, and progression. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering structured 1-1 career sessions, facilitating workshops or information sessions, and supporting students with understanding their options, and preparing for the future with CV creation, interview skills, and job search strategies. The Advisor will collaborate with educational providers and partner organisations to enhance career education, information, advice, and guidance (CEIAG) offerings. The role also includes maintaining accurate records, monitoring progress, and providing clear, supportive communication to clients, families, and stakeholders to ensure a consistent, high-quality service.

Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Career guidance, building rapport with students and working on a one-to-one basis.
- Candidates should possess skills in Career Development and Career Management to support long-term planning and progression.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including active listening, clear written communication, and presenting to groups.
- You MUST hold a Level 6 or 7 in Career Guidance and Development - This is a requirement in schools. Unfortunately we cannot consider anyone without this specific qualification.
- Experience working with diverse client groups, including young people with special educational needs and disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of current labor market trends, education pathways, and employability resources is essential.

- We pay in the region of £200 per day depending on experience - You will be responsible for your own tax, NI and travel costs.
