Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Qualified Electrician role based in Aberystwyth. The Qualified Electrician will carry out installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems across domestic, commercial, and agricultural settings, including EV charge points, CCTV, Solar PV, fire alarms, and lighting. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, performing periodic inspections, completing certification and documentation, and ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and NICEIC standards. The role involves communicating clearly with customers, providing professional advice, and maintaining a high level of service quality and safety on every job. The Qualified Electrician may also participate in 24/7 emergency call-outs and contribute to continuous improvement and upskilling within the team.

- Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent) and completion of an approved apprenticeship or similar training.
- Current electrical certifications such as 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and City & Guilds Inspection and Testing (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in domestic, commercial, and agricultural electrical work, including installations, maintenance, and fault finding.
- Experience with EV charge points, CCTV systems, Solar PV, fire alarm systems, and lighting installations, or willingness to upskill in these areas.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, NICEIC requirements, and relevant regulations, with a consistent focus on safe working practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications, and to complete accurate reports and test certificates.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and represent the company professionally on-site.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel within Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, and nearby areas.
