Company: New proprietary trading firm
Location: Basingstoke (in-person)
Compensation: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
Part time up to 20 hours a week.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Trading Researcher to identify market opportunities using alternative data. You will design predictive signals by tracking social media trends, news feeds, and public sentiment to capture fast-moving social arbitrage opportunities before the broader market reacts.

Core Requirements
- Expertise: Strong experience in sentiment analysis, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and extracting insights from alternative data pipelines (e.g., X/Twitter, Reddit, news wires).
- Skills: How to code is highly beneficial for tracking social momentum and crowd behaviour, even if you are already exceptionally social media savvy.
- Traits: Understanding of how retail and institutional sentiment drives short-term asset prices, combined with a sharp analytical mindset.
