About The Role

As investment in the nation's energy network continues to accelerate, our Power Transmission & Distribution business is playing a critical role in connecting renewable energy, strengthening the electricity grid and supporting the UK's transition to Net Zero.
We're looking for a Quality Advisor to join our team in Cardiff and help drive a culture of quality excellence across a portfolio of complex infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a business delivering some of the UK's most important energy projects, ensuring quality is embedded throughout every stage of delivery.
What you'll be doing
As a Quality Advisor, you'll work closely with project teams, supply chain partners and stakeholders to ensure quality requirements are understood, implemented and consistently achieved. You'll support the delivery of a "Right First Time" culture, helping our teams minimise defects, improve performance and continuously raise standards across our projects.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supporting project teams in the development, implementation and maintenance of Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and assurance processes.
- Providing quality advice and guidance to operational teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitoring and reporting on quality performance against project and business KPIs.
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures, client requirements and industry standards.
- Supporting project teams in the effective use of quality management systems and digital assurance tools.
- Coordinating and undertaking internal audits, while supporting external certification and client audits.
- Assisting with investigations into quality issues, identifying root causes and supporting corrective actions.
- Promoting best practice, lessons learned and continual improvement initiatives across projects.
- Supporting project handover activities by ensuring quality documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Delivering quality awareness and training activities to project teams and local quality representatives.
- Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure quality requirements are embedded into everyday delivery activities.
- Supporting the ongoing development and improvement of the Quality Management System.

Who we're looking for
We're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated quality professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing positive behaviours and supporting operational teams to achieve excellent outcomes.
You may already be working as a Quality Advisor, Quality Engineer, Quality Coordinator or within a broader assurance, compliance or governance role and be looking to develop your career within a leading infrastructure organisation.
Ideally, You'll Have
- Experience in a quality, assurance or compliance role within construction, engineering, utilities, manufacturing or infrastructure environments.
- A good understanding of quality management principles and assurance processes.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Internal Auditor training or experience conducting audits.
- A Level 4 qualification or above in Quality, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
- Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) at Affiliate level or above, or a willingness to work towards this.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence people at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- The confidence to challenge constructively and promote best practice where required.
