Quality is about more than meeting regulations. It's about creating services where people are supported to thrive, achieve meaningful outcomes and live life on their terms.
We're looking for an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to provide independent oversight, challenge and support across our residential services. With a primary focus on our CQC-regulated adult residential services, you'll also provide quality assurance across our Ofsted-regulated children's homes.
This is a role for someone who can see the detail, understand the bigger picture and turn insight into meaningful improvement.
You'll:
- Lead regular quality and compliance audits across our residential services.
- Provide constructive challenge, coaching and practical support to managers and leaders.
- Assess services against CQC requirements and, where relevant, Ofsted requirements and organisational standards.
- Identify strengths, risks and opportunities for improvement and translate these into clear, prioritised action plans.
- Follow up on audit findings and validate that improvements are embedded and sustained, not simply completed on paper.
- Undertake announced and unannounced follow-up visits where concerns or declining performance are identified.
- Support services to remain inspection-ready and provide guidance before, during and after CQC and Ofsted inspections.
- Identify organisational themes, trends and recurring risks and contribute to quality and Board reporting.
- Deliver workshops, briefings and coaching to build quality and compliance capability across our teams.
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Clinical, PBS, Safeguarding and Health & Safety colleagues to drive continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
