Job Overview

We are looking to appoint a Quality and Safety Facilitator to join our Corporate Nursing team who will facilitate and coordinate a portfolio of quality improvement work across the Trust to support a range of initiatives.

The successful applicant will be NMC registered with proven experience in implementing quality improvement initiatives and of engaging with the multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement mutually driven schemes. This includes learning from patient experience, adverse incidents, and complaints. The post holder will also be required to provide verbal and written reports as required.

The requirement of the job role is to work at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, and The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. The pattern of hours will be dependent on specific initiatives; this may require working out of hours.

Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be required to support the implementation of the nursing aspects of the Trust Improvement Plan in all the clinical areas. This includes, but is not limited to, improvement initiatives linked to falls, pressure ulcers, deterioration, MCA/DoLs, risk assessments, and documentation.

The post holder is also expected to contribute to the ward/clinical area exemplar review program and provide advice and support to Ward/Department teams about quality & safety issues.

Another key aspect of the role is contributing to clinical incidents that may occur, reviewing, and implementing initial actions following these incidents in the clinical areas.
