About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst specializing in Data and ETL Testing to join our dynamic team on a fixed-term basis for 18 months. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the quality assurance processes within a transformative technology environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of critical data systems, supporting the organization’s strategic initiatives. Working within an Agile framework, you will lead testing efforts across multiple projects and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, product owners, and Scrum teams, to deliver high-quality solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in data testing within large-scale data environments, with a strong understanding of ETL processes and data validation techniques. Essential qualifications include proficiency in SQL, experience with Azure Data Factory, and familiarity with data modelling concepts. Candidates should have hands-on experience using Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking. A solid understanding of structured testing methodologies, QA best practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies is required. Certifications such as ISTQB Foundation or equivalent are desirable. Additionally, experience with data visualization tools like Power BI, automation testing, and API testing will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
- Lead QA and testing activities within assigned projects or delivery squads, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and implement detailed test strategies, plans, and test cases based on project requirements.
- Perform hands-on testing across data, integration, and application solutions, including validation of ETL processes and data transformations.
- Manage defect lifecycle and test execution workflows utilizing Azure DevOps, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Validate large-volume data migrations, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout the process.
- Collaborate effectively with Developers, Data Engineers, Product Owners, and Scrum teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Provide clear, concise reporting on testing progress, risks, defects, and overall quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes, automation, and quality practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors to verify integrations and maintain high standards of data quality and system performance.
