About The Role
As a Quality Assurance and Safeguarding Officer, you will:
- Monitor the quality and safety of regulated and non-regulated adult social care services.
- Conduct visits to care providers to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Lead and coordinate safeguarding enquiries and investigations, as defined in Haringey’s Quality Assurance and Contract Monitoring Framework.
- Support the Chair of safeguarding strategy meetings and contribute to multi-agency safeguarding arrangements.
- Work closely with providers to improve practice and strengthen safeguarding arrangements.
- Develop and maintain systems for monitoring quality and safeguarding performance.
- Analyse information and produce reports, briefings, and recommendations for senior leaders.
- Respond to concerns, complaints, and emerging risks within the care market.
- Collaborate with health colleagues, social work teams, mental health services, and other partners to improve outcomes for residents.

About The Team
Our Adult Social Care Commissioning and Quality Assurance Team is committed to ensuring residents receive safe, responsive, and person-centred support. We work collaboratively with care providers, health colleagues, safeguarding partners, and people who draw on services to drive quality improvement across the local care market.

About You
We would love to hear from candidates who have:
- Strong knowledge of adult safeguarding legislation, policy, and practice.
- Experience of working within adult social care, health, commissioning, quality assurance, or safeguarding environments.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to influence, challenge, and support providers to achieve high standards.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and agencies.
- Knowledge of key legislation including the Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act, Care-related legislation, and Equality legislation.
- A commitment to promoting dignity, independence, choice, and person-centred support.
