Company Description

Our client, seeking a Quality Assurance Associate in Hull, England, is a leading global supplier of food ingredients. Working for this leading organization means being part of an innovative and dynamic company that is dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.

With a commitment to sustainability, they offer employees the opportunity to work for a company that is making a positive impact on the environment.

Compensation

The role offers annual compensation of £31,740.80 for a full-time, permanent, in-person position. In addition to salary, the successful candidate will have access to a well-rounded employee offering that includes practical workplace conveniences, health and well-being support, lifestyle-related benefits, employee recognition opportunities, and company-sponsored initiatives that contribute to a positive site culture.

The Opportunity

This is a Quality Assurance role for someone who likes variety in their day.

  • Checking incoming packaging or raw materials
  • Reviewing production records, verifying CCPs, preparing micro samples, checking results, or following up on a taste panel
  • Internal audits, glass and brittle material checks, supplier non-conformances, or investigations when something needs to be held, reviewed, or corrected

The real value in the role is helping the site make good decisions before small quality concerns become bigger problems.

You will be a visible QA presence across production, packing, and warehouse areas, helping people understand what good looks like and making sure food safety, hygiene, and product standards are protected throughout the process.

Position Description

As Quality Assurance Associate, you will support day-to-day quality and technical activity across the site.

  • Checking incoming packaging and raw materials against required standards
  • Monitoring product quality during production, packing, and warehouse activity
  • Carrying out verification checks and helping ensure site records are completed correctly
  • Reviewing production, packing, and QC paperwork for accuracy and completion
  • Verifying CCPs and signing records once checks are complete
  • Completing glass and brittle material checks and supporting internal audits
  • Assisting with investigations into foreign bodies, held stock, quality issues, or related concerns
  • Issuing internal and supplier non-conformances when needed
  • Working with factory colleagues to improve quality awareness and reduce risk
  • Helping maintain product legality, safety, hygiene, and quality standards across the site
  • Noting when procedures are not being followed or may need to be updated
  • Making sure laboratory equipment and chemicals are used properly and checks are completed
  • Leading the daily taste panel when required and following up on any actions
  • Preparing and sending micro samples
  • Reviewing micro results and preparing certificates of analysis
  • Supporting wider quality and technical tasks as required
  • Following health and safety, HR, and environmental procedures

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
