The Role

Step into a high-stakes Public Sector (PubSec) environment and drive quality assurance for next-generation AI services at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). As a Test Automation Engineer, you will hit the ground running to design robust automated frameworks from scratch, ensuring the reliability of critical machine learning pipelines. This is a fast-paced, highly visible engagement suited for a proactive go-getter ready to deliver immediate results alongside elite global consultancy partners.

Rate/Salary: £400 per day (Inside IR35) or £70,000 fixed-term pro-rata

Location / Work Type: Remote (with rare occasional travel, expenses covered)

What You'll Do

  • Build and scale robust automated testing frameworks using Python and PyTest, specifically tailored for complex AI and machine learning applications.
  • Validate AI model performance, accuracy, and edge cases using industry-leading evaluation libraries such as Deepchecks, Giskard, or Evidently AI.
  • Integrate comprehensive test suites seamlessly into existing CI/CD pipelines to guarantee continuous quality delivery across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, GSI partners, and PubSec stakeholders to define stringent acceptance criteria in a rapid Agile setup.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
