You’ll combine hands-on automation expertise with strong problem-solving skills, taking ownership of testing across the delivery lifecycle and working closely with stakeholders and technical teams to continuously improve the quality of our products.
A day in the life of a QA Automation Engineer will involve:
- Developing and maintaining automated test suites for UI and API applications, helping ensure functionality, reliability and quality across releases.

- Developing and continuously improving our automation tools, frameworks and architecture, including CI/CD and DevOps, to make testing increasingly effective and efficient.
- Delivering functional testing across UI, APIs and databases, generating accurate test data that covers diverse scenarios, including edge cases and negative paths.
- Carrying out regression, cross-browser and non-functional testing, including load, performance, security, OAT and post-deployment monitoring.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
