Role: QA Automation
Location: London, UK
Type: Permanent opportunity (3 Days Office)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of QA experience with a focus on telecom/broadband domain and end-to-end system validation.
- Strong hands-on experience with mobile app automation using Appium.
- Proficiency in BDD frameworks (Cucumber/Behave, Gherkin syntax).
- Solid programming skills in Java, Python.
- Experience with API testing (Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, or similar).
- Good knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DHCP, PPPoE, IPv6, DNS, Wi-Fi testing).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across mobile apps, backend systems, and network layers.

Key Responsibilities
Broadband End-to-End Testing
- Perform comprehensive testing of broadband services across network elements, Broadband hardware devices, APIs, and mobile/desktop apps.
- Validate installation, activation, provisioning, billing, and troubleshooting workflows.
- Conduct performance, interoperability, and stability testing for broadband connectivity.
- Collaborate with network, product, and development teams to reproduce, analyse, and resolve defects.
Automation Framework Development & Maintenance
- Design, develop, and maintain a BDD (Cucumber/Behave)-based automation framework for mobile app testing (iOS & Android).
- Implement Appium/Detox/Espresso/XCUITest integrations for automated mobile validation.
- Extend the framework for API automation (REST/GraphQL) and integrate with end-to-end broadband workflows.
- Build modular, reusable automation libraries to support regression, smoke, and sanity suites.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Ensure framework scalability, reliability, and maintainability with code reviews, refactoring, and continuous improvements.

Test Execution & Reporting
- Develop test strategies, plans, and test cases aligned with product requirements and release timelines.
- Execute manual and automated tests for mobile apps, APIs, and broadband services.
- Track and report defects in Jira and participate in triage meetings.
- Generate and analyse automation reports & dashboards for stakeholders.
