Job Role

AYBL is recruiting a Quality Co-ordinator. This role sits within the Sourcing and Quality department and is responsible for ensuring brand quality standards of all AYBL products across multiple suppliers. The successful candidate will be hands-on helping to co-ordinate bulk inspections and product testing, working closely with factories, third-party inspectors, and internal teams to maintain and continuously improve product quality.


Role & Responsibilities

Inspection & Reporting

  • Review internal and 3rd party QC inspection reports received from allocated factories and provide clear pass/fail feedback in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update the inspection report tracker, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Book and coordinate third-party QC inspections.
  • Confident in conducting internal product inspections where necessary in internal warehouses.
  • Alongside wider QC team, work with returns and customer service department to assess product failure and support returns analysis.

Testing & Compliance

  • Monitor all active testing reports across fibre composition, chemical and performance, ensuring expired certifications are flagged and testing is co-ordinated.
  • Support the implementation of Digital Product Passport (DPP) requirements, ensuring all required testing and compliance information is captured and traceable against the relevant styles.
  • Effectively communicate testing requirements and product quality standards to multiple suppliers, ensuring all products meet legal requirements, adhere to quality standards, and are fit for purpose.

Product & Technical

  • Review and update care label instructions to ensure they are specific to the product, in line with legal requirements and AYBL brand standards.
  • Work closely with the Design and Garment Technologist teams to ensure products are risk assessed in a timely manner prior to production.

Supplier Management & Administration

  • Help support in co-ordinating supplier corrective action reports where product does not meet agreed standards; complete all necessary administration for returning and reworking stock where required.
  • Log daily progress in the Critical Path and update with any changes to styles throughout pre-production, urgently escalating to the QA Specialist if a product is not compliant with set standards.
  • Attend and contribute to Critical Path meetings, providing up-to-date status on inspection bookings, outstanding reports, and any quality risks.
  • Work with the QA team to implement quality procedures appropriate to business objectives.

Job Requirements

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Quality Control or Garment Technology.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Garment Technology, Pattern Cutting, or a related discipline.

Technical Knowledge

  • Good knowledge of garment construction methods and manufacturing sewing operations.
  • Working knowledge of materials, technical fabrics, and the functional aspects of garments.
  • Familiarity with testing standards, AQL protocols, and inspection processes.
  • Knowledge of seamless knit desirable but not required.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage documentation, maintain trackers, and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience working with overseas factories, with an understanding of international supply chain constraints and timescales.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with overseas suppliers across different cultures and time zones.
  • Ability to anticipate technical problems and implement corrective action plans proactively.
  • Enthusiasm to grow and adapt within a fast-growing business environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain accurate when managing multiple projects.
