Data drives every decision we make at CFC. From underwriting performance and portfolio management to carrier reporting and strategic growth, trusted data is critical to our success.

We're looking for a Quality Assurance & Controls Lead to build and own the governance framework that sits behind our underwriting MI and data insights capability. This is an opportunity to shape how one of the world's leading specialist insurers manages, controls and trusts its data.

You'll be joining at an exciting stage of growth and transformation, working at the intersection of underwriting, data, operations and performance management. Rather than simply maintaining existing processes, you'll help define them, creating the controls, standards and governance that ensure our reporting is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose.

If you're someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, building robust frameworks, improving operational efficiency and influencing how data is managed across a business, this role offers genuine impact and visibility.

About the role

As Quality Assurance & Controls Lead, you'll establish and own the control environment that underpins underwriting reporting and data insights across CFC.

Working closely with teams across Data, Operations and Underwriting, you'll ensure the information used to make critical business decisions is complete, accurate and trusted. You'll develop governance frameworks, create quality standards and build scalable processes that support continued growth and modernisation across the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
