Brief Description

Working at the heart of our production environment, you’ll partner with Engineering, Production, and Operations to solve real problems, drive root-cause improvements, and ensure our products are right first time. From investigating non-conformances and leading corrective actions to improving processes, analysing quality data, and supporting audits, you’ll have a hands-on role in raising standards across the business.
You’ll work on complex, specialist engineering programmes where reliability truly matters, gaining exposure to everything from manufacturing and inspection through to engineering change, suppliers, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Ensure compliance with all quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements across production operations
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Conduct internal audits and support external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance at all times
- Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Work closely with Production teams to ensure adherence to quality processes and standards on the shopfloor
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure effective transition of designs into production, with quality built into processes
- Support inspection and testing activities, ensuring products meet required specifications and customer expectations
- Analyse quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement and support decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, rework, and waste
- Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, controlled, and up to date
- Support supplier quality activities where required, including evaluation and performance monitoring
- Promote a strong quality culture across the site, ensuring accountability and awareness at all levels

Apply if You Have Most of the Following:
- Experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering role within a production environment
- Experience supporting or operating within a Quality Management System
- Proven experience of investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective actions
- Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams
- Experience in a multi-programme or project-based production environment is
Technical Skills/Education
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa)
- Knowledge of inspection and testing methods within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to analyse and interpret quality and production data
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Understanding of engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety and regulatory compliance requirements

Additional Local Needs:
- Onsite role, Merthyr Tydfil, South Wales
- Successful candidate will need to complete BPSS checks
