Quality Assurance Engineer – Denham

Step into a role where quality engineering has a direct impact. As a Quality Assurance Engineer within our Quality team at Denham, you’ll help ensure the products and processes behind life-saving aerospace technology meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and performance.
Working in a safety-critical environment, you’ll play a key role in driving our ambition of zero defects and on-time delivery, using your engineering knowledge and problem-solving expertise to identify issues, implement corrective actions and deliver continuous improvement.

The Opportunity
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you’ll join our Quality team at Denham, working closely with colleagues across engineering, manufacturing and operations to maintain and improve quality standards across the business.
You’ll coordinate the recording and resolution of quality issues, lead corrective action activity and use quality data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. You’ll also conduct product and process audits, support production activities and act as a QA signatory for engineering documentation.

What You’ll Do
- Coordinate activities to manage and resolve emerging quality issues.
- Raise, track and close Corrective Action Requests (CARs), driving effective root cause analysis.
- Analyse defect data and quality performance metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare quality reports for management review.
- Conduct product and process audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Support production through the issue of permits and concessions.
- Act as a QA signatory for engineering drawings and documentation.
- Manage and coordinate shop-floor error reporting activities.
- Lead complex defect investigations using structured methodologies such as 8D.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to drive continuous improvement.
- Support the organisation’s objective of achieving zero defects and on-time delivery.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented quality professional with a strong engineering background, excellent analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- HND or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in a quality role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capability.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills, with the confidence to work across all levels of the organisation.
- Good IT skills, including Excel and standard Microsoft Office tools.
- A structured, methodical approach with strong ownership and accountability.
- Training or experience in quality auditing (desirable).
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (desirable).
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to identify issues, challenge processes and drive improvement.
