QA Engineer

Position: QA Engineer

About the Role

ArmorCode is looking for a QA Engineer to join its Quality Engineering team. The selected candidate will work closely with developers and product managers, taking ownership of quality for assigned product areas.

The role involves both manual testing and test automation, along with the use of AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, Kiro, Codex, or similar tools to improve testing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own QA activities for assigned development pod, including test strategy, automation and quality sign-off.
  • Create and maintain manual and automated test cases.
  • Develop and maintain API/backend test automation for REST APIs, databases and services.
  • Develop and maintain web UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar tools.
  • Run automated tests through CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify and communicate quality risks and defects early in the development cycle.
  • Support shift-left testing and ensure quality gates are included in the development process.
  • Track quality metrics such as defect leakage, escaped defects, automation coverage and regression stability.
  • Use AI tools to generate test cases, troubleshoot CI failures and maintain regression suites.
  • Review and validate AI-generated test cases and automation for accuracy.
  • Contribute to test planning, sprint readiness and release sign-off.
  • Work closely with developers and Product Managers to ensure high-quality releases.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience in QA or Quality Engineering.
  • Experience in a fast-paced SaaS/product environment is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding/testing assistants such as Claude Code, Copilot, Kiro, Codex or similar.
  • Strong coding and programming skills with the ability to understand and review test automation code.
  • Experience in both manual testing and automation testing.
  • Hands-on experience with backend/API automation and CI/CD.
  • Hands-on experience with web automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of shift-left testing practices.
  • Ability to work independently and handle ambiguous requirements.

Good to Have

  • Experience with AI-assisted or agentic QA workflows.
  • Knowledge of Application Security (AppSec) or security tools such as SAST, DAST and SCA.
  • Experience testing AI-based features, including prompt testing and output validation.
  • Experience working in a pod/squad-based development environment.
