QA Engineer - Manual / Automation Testing | Immediate Starter
💰 Rate: Up to £440 Per/Day
📍 Location: Remote-first
⏱️ Length: 3-Month Contract (Outside IR35)
Here at Burns Sheehan, we are exclusively partnered with a growing UK technology business looking for a QA Engineer to help them deliver and hit a major testing deadline. They need an experienced Engineer across both Manual and Automation testing to help support both their Platform and Mobile devices.
This will be a 3-month contract and you will work with the current QA function to help support the increase in testing capacity and test their wide range of services before a major US-launch.

What you will be doing / What we are looking for:
- Supporting testing across web platforms, mobile applications, and connected device journeys with a strong QA background across manual, functional, regression, and edge case testing
- Helping reduce regression time and improve release confidence ahead of a key deadline
- Working closely with product, engineering, and QA to identify risk, prioritise coverage, and surface issues early
- Supporting API and integration testing using tools such as Postman
- Hands-on automation experience with Playwright or a similar modern framework
- Comfortable testing across web applications, APIs, and ideally mobile apps
- Experience working in small teams where you can take ownership and work at pace
- Good technical understanding, ideally including C#/.NET, NUnit, Page Object Model, or similar automation design patterns
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release-focused testing
- Strong attention to detail and the judgement to know what should be automated versus what still needs manual validation
