Role
This role will be based in our Belfast site.
Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker’s 2027 Cooperative cohort.
This position provides the Co-Op Student, as part of their college studies, the experience of working in a regulated medical device company. The Co-Op Student undertakes a project that is of mutual benefit to the company and to the student’s practical and academic learning.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Work closely with operations and the business functions to ensure quality performance of product and processes.
- Own or support identified internal and supplier driven non-conformances and manage the timely closure of NC's.
- Own or support identified internal CAPAs and manage to timely root cause investigation, implementation and closure.
- Engage in the development and improvement of the internal manufacturing processes for existing products.
- Participates in the creation and/or review of new or modified procedures.
- Support the creation and maintenance of inspection methods and sampling.
- Provides support to the team and department by completing other activities as required.
- Ensures compliance with the Quality, Safety and 5S Systems.
- As a student, effectively adapts to practically working in a workplace by being dependable, dependable, punctual, initiative-taking, hardworking, organised and a team-player.

What You Will Need
- Currently completing a college qualification in an engineering or business discipline.
- Honesty and Integrity essential. Must comply with the quality system, regulations, and company policies.
- Initiative-taking, flexible and hardworking. Enjoys working in a dynamic, fast and results orientated environment.
- Resolute, dependable, and punctual.
- Organised, focused, and capable of multi-tasking.
- Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic level of PC skills required.
- Is a collaborator and capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team.
- Knowledge of Quality Concepts (e.g. Risk Management, CAPA, Audits, Statistics) is desirable.
