Help Us Build The Future of Travel

At Airalo, we're making it easier for people to stay connected wherever they travel. As the world's first eSIM store, we help millions of travelers access affordable mobile data in 200+ countries and regions around the world.

Today, we're a team of 400+ people across 60+ countries, building a product used by travelers every day. We've grown quickly, but we've worked hard to keep what matters: trust, ownership, and the freedom for people to do great work without unnecessary layers or bureaucracy.

We're fully remote by design, genuinely global, and united by a shared mission to make travel simpler for everyone.

Your Next Destination

  • Location: Remote.
  • Contract: Full-time, permanent.
  • Benefits: Learn more about our benefits here in this link - https://airalo-public.notion.site/Benefits-25396a97ffca81fb9bc1f0be479f1be3?pvs=74
  • Languages: English is our main working language day to day, so you'll need to be comfortable communicating in it both in meetings and async.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain IREG-based test campaigns for roaming partners, network changes, and service launches across Data, Voice, and SMS.
  • Manage the test SIM and eSIM fleet, remote test probes, campaign configuration, scheduling, execution, reporting, and coverage history.
  • Build repeatable test pipelines, integrate smoke and regression suites into CI/CD, and provide clear release gates; so that core network changes and Steering of Roaming adjustments never quietly break the existing footprint.
  • Define the KPIs, baselines, and thresholds that tell us the service is healthy. Correlate synthetic test results with production KPIs and real customer journeys, and turn what you find into alerts and runbooks the Operations team can act on.
  • Design and run the tests that show our geo-redundancy behaves as designed, i.e., site failover and failback, Diameter and GTP path recovery, session survival, data consistency after a switch; and verify that our core platforms deliver the capacity they were dimensioned for, under sustained load and under signalling bursts.
  • Analyse PCAP, MAP/SS7, Diameter, GTP, and DNS traces alongside monitoring data to isolate failures, support root cause analysis, validate fixes, and strengthen regression coverage.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What you'll bring

  • You've worked in telecom QA, network testing, service assurance, or roaming validation.
  • You know how LTE/EPC fits together. Give you a registration or session flow and you'll find where it broke.
  • Wireshark is where you go first, not last.
  • You write your own automation in Python or something close, and you keep regression suites running in CI/CD.

Nice to have

  • Experience at a roaming hub, IPX provider, mobile operator, or MVNO, including partner interoperability testing.
  • Hands-on SIM box or remote testing probe management.
  • Exposure to 5G roaming and VoLTE roaming, including S8HR and SMS over IP.
  • Familiarity with HSS/HLR, PCRF, and OCS functions, and how they show up in roaming failures.
  • Working knowledge of GSMA roaming procedures and documents, including IR.21, IR.24, IR.35, IR.38, and IR.92.
