Quality Assurance Engineer in Systems

The Quality Assurance Engineer in Systems is responsible for supporting and improving quality systems and processes within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with regulatory and customer requirements, supports internal and external audits, contributes to continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation, and acts as a key interface between Quality Systems and Production, supporting effective coordination and communication across both areas. A strong understanding of AS9100, process validation, and aerospace compliance standards is essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Work in accordance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
  • Manage, maintain, and continually improve the company’s Quality Management System, ensuring processes, procedures, and supporting records remain effective, controlled, and aligned with applicable requirements.
  • Act as the focal point between Quality Systems and Production, coordinating required build documentation, production information, product identification, design data, and configuration requirements to support the timely progression, release, and service eligibility of products.
  • Plan, conduct internal audits, while maintaining, managing, and reporting on the internal audit schedule to ensure audits are completed in a structured, timely, and effective manner.
  • Support regulatory, customer, and certification audits, including preparation, administration, and support of corrective actions.
  • Manage corrective actions, non-conformances, and improvement activities through effective root cause analysis and timely closure.
  • Maintain controlled quality documentation, records, and associated systems in line with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Monitor quality performance, identify trends, and escalate significant risks or compliance concerns.
  • Support the implementation of regulatory, customer, and business requirements.
  • Work closely with all functions to improve process performance, strengthen compliance, and support structured problem-solving activities.
  • Support the Senior Quality Engineer with regulatory and compliance activities, including requirements associated with AS9100, Part 21G, and Part 145, as applicable.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
