QA / Test Engineer – Data Pipelines

SR2 is recruiting for a QA / Test Engineer who has experience testing complex, data-heavy systems at scale – rather than someone whose background has predominantly been testing web applications.
You'll be working on a highly technical product where large volumes of data are being ingested and processed, so I'm particularly interested in speaking to people who have tested high-volume data pipelines in production environments. Experience with Kafka would be great, although wider experience across streaming, ingestion or data pipeline technologies is absolutely relevant.

There's also a big assurance piece to the role. Before software and hardware can go into the live environment, it needs to have been properly tested, evidenced and documented. You'll therefore need to be someone who is comfortable producing thorough test documentation and making sure nothing gets missed.
Requirements:
- Experience testing high-volume / high-scale data pipelines
- Production-level data ingestion or streaming experience
- Kafka experience (or other similar technologies)
- Strong systems / integration testing experience
- Comfortable producing detailed test documentation and evidence
- Someone thorough, methodical and happy working closely with technical teams
