Job Description
Responsibilities
- Have a basic understanding of the QA role.
- Identify and test new data formats, enhancements, and changes to designated feeds on the Real Time Ticker Plant.
- Responsible for managing changes from specification through to testing and deployment on production systems according to the established guidelines.
- Point of contact for changes to designated feeds that may impact Real Time products including exchange mandated, internal, and external customer requirements and fixes.
- Co-ordinate and track the resultant changes across systems required for successful implementation.
- Manage their changes across the established deployment process from development, testing, and change control.
- Contribute to and improve aspects of data quality through testing in discussion with managers and senior colleagues. Maintain automated regression testing suites and add to them as required.
- Able to demonstrate meticulous testing practices, problem-solving, and adhere to established standards and policies.
- Manage own testing and address bug reports and issues.
- Supply input to technical and user-facing documentation as required.
- Be available after normal working hours to support production deployment on occasion.

Knowledge and Experience
- Professional working knowledge of shell scripting (bash/python) and demonstrable experience in regression testing and test automation.
- Experience of working in a UNIX environment with user-level knowledge of Linux or UNIX.
- Experience in a quality assurance or software testing environment.
- Experience of testing through a project lifecycle to deployment.
- Experience of working on one's own initiative within a fast-changing environment.
- The role requires a person who is structured and organized by nature. Someone who is systematic and has the ability to concentrate on things within their area of knowledge, experience, and education. The person should be approachable, thorough, methodical, predictable, self-disciplined, patient, logical, and careful in approach.
- Teamwork - ability to work as a team member, work effectively with team leads, manager, as well as other groups including QA, BA, Operations, and Product Management.

Preferred Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of exchange data feeds across multiple asset classes (equities, options, and derivatives).
- Knowledge of financial markets or experience within a similar environment.
- Understanding of formal testing procedures with previous experience in a similar environment.
- Understanding of troubleshooting techniques within a real-time environment.
- Experience working with Gherkin.
- Use of AI (specifically Claude).
