Build quality from the ground up and make release decisions easier to defend with evidence.
MoneyPlus is building its QA capability. This role exists to make quality an integral part of engineering delivery: shaping the strategy, creating meaningful automated coverage and bringing clear evidence into release decisions. Early on, this is a hands-on role; as capability grows, the focus expands into mentoring, standards and team development.
What you’ll be doing
- Define and evolve the testing strategy, roadmap, framework choices and approach to risk-based coverage.
- Create and maintain automated coverage across front-end and API layers, particularly while the QA function is being established.
- Bring coverage evidence, known risks and quality findings into release decisions; challenge unsafe assumptions and escalate material concerns.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of the planned QA team, then shift progressively from sole hands-on ownership towards mentoring, standards and capability building.
- Work with Engineering Leads and delivery colleagues so testability, quality risks and appropriate controls are considered during planning rather than immediately before release.
- Explain quality evidence, risk and release implications clearly to engineering leadership, senior stakeholders and Compliance where relevant.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
