IPRS PFAS are an independent provider of quality medical assessments using a network of specialist health practitioners based in various clinics, mostly around the Southeast of the UK. We are looking for a Quality Assurance Lead to join our team to create and support a robust quality and customer focused culture whilst developing and protecting our reputation.

Using management information to identify trends impacting quality and performance and working closely with other members of the team to drive a quality culture whilst ensuring that customer care is delivered to the highest of standards.

This is a remote role with traveling to our PFAS sites when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that professional practice standards and best practice are maintained in all areas of work in alignment with regulatory body expectations
  • Registration, re-validation and continuous professional development should be maintained in accordance with the requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), General Medical Council (GMC) and Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Maintain approval in PIP benefit, completing assessments as required by the needs of the business
  • Monitor PIP quality trends through available MI (Management Information) at team and individual HP level, to identify trends/risks/ development opportunities
  • Ensure each Health Professional's quality indicators are aligned with national average benchmarks and support the implementation of appropriate improvement processes where needed
  • Identify Health Professionals (HPs) who would benefit from supportive pathways, ensuring that the support provided is tailored to their individual needs and regularly discussed within the team to share best practices on a weekly basis
  • To support the completion of CPD and CME at team level
  • To maintain and improve clinical quality and achieve PIP quality TPLs at team level
  • To support and improve productivity and efficiency at team level
  • To facilitate and lead on quality calls and ensure that all Health Professionals (HPs) and managers are informed about performance expectations and delivery progress
  • To be accountable for timely feedback and amendments for all HPs and escalate when this cannot be met
  • To address and review all complaints at a team and individual level to identify trends/risk/development opportunities
  • Support complaints response where required, and this should be in line with the guidance provided by the Prime Contract Holder.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain an effective engagement structure for the team around all things clinical and quality, and encourage participation in PFAS wide engagement events
  • To work under the guidance of the Head of Clinical Governance and Quality (HCGQ) and Head of Lot (HL) to make improvements to the clinical delivery of PFAS
  • To liaise with the Prime Contract Holder's PIP Clinical Lead raising queries or concerns on behalf of PFAS
  • To liaise with HCGQ/HL each month providing update on team quality and performance
  • Ensure clinical governance and standards required by the DWP and in alignment with GMC, NMC and HCPC are maintained
  • To support with clinical representation at HP interviews, for candidates based at your site, or as required
  • To ensure that clinical and quality messages are cascaded and understood in a timely manner

Other duties:

  • To maintain a strong senior clinical presence via on site face-to-face interaction or video conferencing
  • To promote joint working and maximise the local relationships with operational colleagues
  • Ensure clinical and quality objectives as set by the business are cascaded to team members and reviewed as per the guidance
  • To highlight areas of interest, concerns, future requirements, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders where necessary

Qualifications:

  • Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist - registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Paramedics - registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Registered Nurse - registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Current approval in PIP benefit
  • Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience of using online/computerised reporting templates/databases and interpreting statistics for the purpose of managing & reporting
  • At least 2 years postgraduate clinical experience
  • Experience of undertaking PIP or WCA assessments
  • Experience of quality assurance, clinical report checking and/or clinical audit
  • An understanding of PFAS operational procedures
