QA Manager
Teesside | Chemical | Pharmaceutical | Manufacturing
CY Partners are partnering with a specialist chemical manufacturing business to recruit an experienced QA Manager to lead the Quality Assurance function at their Teesside site.
Reporting to the Site Lead, you'll provide strategic and operational QA leadership, working closely with Operations, Technical, Engineering, and SHEQ to drive quality standards, compliance, and continuous improvement across the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional who enjoys working close to manufacturing and wants genuine influence over quality culture and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the site QA function.
- Provide quality leadership as part of the senior site management team.
- Oversee quality systems, batch release, validation, and qualification.
- Lead internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, specialty chemicals, and wider regulatory requirements.
- Drive risk-based decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Coach and develop quality personnel.
- Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulators.

About You
You'll be an established QA professional with significant experience in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
You'll ideally have:
- A relevant scientific or engineering degree.
- Strong GMP knowledge and ideally experience within pharmaceuticals or specialty chemicals.
- Experience with validation, qualification, technical transfer, and quality systems.
- Experience managing audits and regulatory relationships.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- A pragmatic, risk-based approach to quality.
- The ability to influence, challenge constructively, and drive cultural change.
