Role Description
The Quality Assurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Uttoxeter. This position is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities, including maintaining food safety and quality standards, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. - Monitoring production processes
- Reviewing documentation
- Investigating non-conformances
- Coordinating corrective and preventive actions
- Updating quality procedures

The role involves:
- Leading and coaching the QA team
- Collaborating closely with production, technical, and supply chain teams
- Analyzing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
The Quality Assurance Manager also supports:
- Training on quality and food safety
- Driving continuous improvement projects
- Preparing reports for senior leadership
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of food quality, safety, and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, BRCGS or equivalent), and practical experience implementing them in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in quality management systems, including documentation control, internal audits, and root cause analysis for non-conformances.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, including setting priorities, coaching staff, and promoting a culture of quality and accountability.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret production and quality data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally in production, technical, and supply chain settings.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualification in food science, food technology, quality management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in the food manufacturing sector.
- Competence with standard IT tools and quality-related software (e.g., MS Office, QA/traceability systems); familiarity with regulatory and customer audit processes is an advantage.
