Are you an experienced Quality professional looking for your next challenge within food manufacturing?

We're recruiting a Quality Manager to join a well-established food manufacturer in Lancashire on a 14-month fixed-term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Quality Assurance function on shift, working closely with production to ensure the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend significant time on the factory floor, driving standards, supporting operational teams, and developing a strong food safety culture.

The Role

Reporting to the Site Technical Manager, you'll be responsible for leading the QA team and ensuring products are manufactured to the highest standards of food safety, legality, and customer compliance.

  • Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, Hygiene, and Supply Chain teams to drive continuous improvement while ensuring the site remains audit-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Quality Assurance team.
  • Drive a strong food safety and quality culture across the manufacturing operation.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, BRCGS, and customer standards.
  • Oversee product quality, product release, and non-conformance investigations.

  • Manage allergen controls, traceability systems, and hygiene standards.
  • Investigate customer complaints and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Analyze quality KPIs and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Production and Technical teams to improve processes and reduce waste.
  • Support new product launches by ensuring quality systems are embedded from day one.
  • Deputise for the Site Technical Manager when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
