This is a pivotal hire, combining operational quality leadership with regulatory compliance and senior oversight of GDP and import release activities.

  • Act as the named Responsible Person (RP) and Responsible Person for Import (RPI) on the company’s licences.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with MHRA GDP and GMP importation standards.
  • Provide oversight for batch certification and release of imported medicinal products.
  • Lead regulatory audits, authority inspections, and customer quality audits.
  • Own and manage deviations, CAPAs, change controls, complaint investigations, and quality risk assessments.
  • Ensure robust supplier qualification and GDP oversight of 3PLs, carriers, and manufacturing partners.
  • As the Quality Manager, deliver ongoing GDP/GMP training across the business and champion a culture of quality and compliance.
  • Manage, develop and mentor a small team of quality specialists.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Regulatory, Operations, and external partners to ensure compliant product flow.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
