QA Manager | Food Manufacturing

Location: Uttoxeter
Salary: £45,000 + Benefits + Career Progression

Are you an experienced Quality professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a driven QA Manager to lead quality assurance activities within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, legality, and compliance.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business committed to continuous improvement, where you'll play a key role in shaping quality standards, leading a high-performing team, and driving a strong food safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, legality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage customer, retailer, certification, and third-party audits.
  • Drive site-wide quality performance through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead investigations into quality and food safety incidents, implementing robust corrective actions.
  • Analyse trends, reduce customer complaints, and improve product quality.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor the QA team, building capability and engagement.
  • Promote a proactive food safety and quality culture across the business.

About You

  • Proven QA leadership experience within food manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS and food safety management systems.
  • Experience leading customer and third-party audits.
  • HACCP qualified (Level 3 minimum).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passionate about developing teams and driving continuous improvement.
