Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Quality Services and Assurance, the Quality Assurance Manager will play a key role in driving and maintaining high standards of quality across our Highways division. Acting as the division’s quality assurance lead, you’ll provide expert guidance, support project and field teams, and help ensure we consistently deliver safe, compliant and high-quality network solutions.
This is a hybrid working role, with a requirement to be in our Warwick HQ 1-2 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance across our highways projects, providing expert advice and ensuring projects consistently meet Telent, customer and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain project Quality Plans, working closely with Project Leads and supporting teams through internal, customer, and certification audits.
- Plan and deliver a robust audit programme, carrying out both management system and quality assurance audits and ensuring all actions are followed through to completion.
- Drive a right-first-time culture, using quality data, performance dashboards and trend analysis to identify opportunities for continual improvement.
- Lead the investigation of quality issues and defects, working with project teams to identify +root causes, agree effective corrective actions and prevent problems from happening again.
- Work collaboratively across the business, building strong relationships with project, field, procurement and quality teams to share best practice and improve overall performance.
- Support the ongoing development of Telent’s quality management system and its external ISO certification, ensuring strong governance, assurance and continuous improvement across the business.

Experience Required
- Experienced Lead auditor, ideally gained within a highways, telecommunications, networks or similar technically-oriented business.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the confidence and drive to engage with teams at all levels.
- Experience working with field and engineering teams, driving quality standards and ensuring right-first-time delivery.
- People management experience, with the ability to lead, support and develop others.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, with knowledge of ISO 20000-1 and ideally ISO 550010.
- Experience of working collaboratively within a client-facing role.
- A full UK driving licence, with the flexibility to attend sites as required.
