Lanarkshire | £34,000 - £38,000 + Benefits

Our client is a well-established and growing food manufacturing business operating from a modern production facility in Lanarkshire. Due to continued investment and expansion, they are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to join their technical team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Technical, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with customer, retailer, and certification standards, while leading and developing the Quality Assurance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
  • Manage internal audits and corrective actions.
  • Lead and develop Quality Assurance Technicians.
  • Monitor HACCP, CCPs, GMP, and food safety compliance.
  • Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
  • Support traceability exercises, quality trials, and calibration programmes.
  • Ensure compliance with retailer standards and relevant legislation.

About You

  • Experience in a Quality or Technical role within food manufacturing, seafood, aquaculture, or a similar environment.
  • Food Hygiene Level 3 minimum.
  • HACCP Level 2 minimum (Level 3 preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, CCPs, GMP, and food safety systems.
  • Familiarity with retailer codes of practice.
  • Strong communication skills with a proactive, hands-on approach.
