As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, learning and continuous improvement, we are looking for an experienced and passionate social work professional to join our Quality Assurance and Service Outcomes Team within the Resource Management and Safeguarding Directorate.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence practice across the whole of Social Services, helping to shape services, strengthen professional practice and ensure that learning translates into better outcomes for the people we serve.

Pay Details: £43,149 - £47,665 (Grade 9)
Hours of Work: 37
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Main Place of Work: Hybrid / Civic Office
This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for an experienced social worker who is passionate about practice, quality and continuous improvement.
Working across Children's Services, Adult Services and Resource Management & Safeguarding, you will play a key role in supporting and driving excellence in practice across Social Services. You will lead and coordinate quality assurance and improvement activity, helping services identify strengths, celebrate good practice and implement meaningful change that improves outcomes for individuals and families.
You will oversee the delivery and ongoing development of the Social Services Quality Assurance Framework, leading a wide range of audit and review activity including thematic audits, safeguarding audits, learning reviews and service evaluations.
A key part of the role involves working collaboratively with practitioners, managers, service development colleagues and partner agencies to embed best practice, strengthen professional standards and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You will also contribute to the development of policies, procedures and practice guidance, ensuring services remain aligned to legislation, Welsh Government guidance and best practice.

About You
We are looking for a qualified and experienced social worker who is passionate about strengths-based practice, professional development and improving outcomes for people and families.
You may be an experienced practitioner, senior practitioner or manager seeking a new challenge that allows you to influence practice across Social Services whilst remaining connected to social work values and principles.
