Role Summary

The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all lift, escalator, and moving walk maintenance, repair, and testing activities are performed in accordance with company quality standards, manufacturer requirements, safety regulations, statutory codes, and client specifications. The role involves conducting inspections, audits, testing, documentation reviews, and quality assessments to verify the reliability, safety, and compliance of vertical transportation equipment.

Skills/Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Conduct routine quality inspections of preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, repairs, and modernization works on elevators, escalators, and moving walkways.
  • Verify that maintenance activities comply with company procedures, OEM manuals, contractual requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety codes, and industry standards applicable to lifts and escalators.
  • Identify defects, non-conformities, unsafe conditions, or deviations from maintenance procedures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports, audit findings, and quality records.
  • Maintain inspection checklists, maintenance quality records, and compliance documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance to maintenance technicians regarding quality standards and best practices.
