Quality Assurance – QA Analyst III

Location: City of London, England – Remote
Contract: 6+ Months

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Analyst / QA Engineer to support the testing and release of a large-scale UGC social VR application. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability and quality of weekly releases across VR, mobile, and PC/cloud-streamed platforms.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional QA experience in gaming, VR (Virtual Reality)/AR (Augmented Reality), or large-scale consumer applications.
  • Strong hands-on experience testing Android and mobile devices, including sideloading builds and capturing logs using ADB/Logcat.
  • Proven experience executing smoke, regression, and release testing against fixed release schedules.
  • Strong bug reporting skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise, and reproducible defect reports.
  • Experience documenting steps to reproduce, expected vs. actual results, severity, logs, videos, and other supporting evidence.
  • Experience creating and maintaining test plans, test cases, regression suites, and release checklists.
  • Proven ability to reproduce and investigate crashes, hangs, ANRs, memory issues, stability problems, and performance regressions.
  • Experience testing across VR, mobile, PC, and cloud-streamed applications.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate risks, defects, and go/no-go recommendations to engineering and release teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and perform under tight release deadlines.

Desirable Experience

  • Familiarity with Unity and Unity logs.
  • Scripting or test automation experience using Python, Unity Test Framework, or similar tools.
  • Experience with multiplayer, social, or user-generated-content (UGC) platforms.
  • Experience testing cloud-streamed games or applications.
  • Familiarity with performance and memory profiling tools such as OVR Metrics Tool, Perfetto, or Unity Profiler.
