Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing for kdb+ applications.
- Develop and execute test scenarios using kdb+ and q language.
- Validate real-time and historical time-series / market data.
- Perform database testing, data reconciliation, and end-to-end data validation.
- Test APIs, data pipelines, and integrations between kdb+ and other systems.
- Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot data discrepancies and application defects.
- Perform performance, scalability, and latency testing on high-volume data systems.
- Work closely with developers, business analysts, data engineers, and trading/technology teams.
- Create and maintain test cases, test plans, defect reports, and QA documentation.
- Support automation of repetitive testing processes and regression suites.
- Ensure applications meet business, data quality, and technical requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4+ years of experience in Software QA / Testing, preferably within financial services.
- Hands-on experience with kdb+ / KDB and q language.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and large datasets.
- Understanding of real-time and historical data processing.
- Experience with API and integration testing.
- Good understanding of test life cycle, defect management, and QA methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
