About the Role
The role of a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Coordinator will support fit-out projects on-site, with a focus on partitions, ceilings, drylining, firestopping, doors, finishes and associated internal works. The role will ensure compliance with project specifications, ISO standards, Building Regulations, BSR/Gateway requirements, client requirements and the maintenance of accurate, traceable evidence based quality records to support Golden Thread information, Gateway evidence packs, multi-block quality coordination and project handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out inspections and audits of fit-out works, including partitions, ceilings, firestopping, doors, finishes and subcontractor activities, to ensure compliance with project quality standards, specifications and approved details.
- Review and maintain project-specific quality documentation, inspection records, certification, benchmark/First of Kind records, Gateway evidence and handover information to ensure records are complete, traceable and audit-ready.
- Coordinate QA records on a block, floor, room or work-area basis to ensure inspection evidence, certification, photographs and close-out records are clearly traceable for each section of the works.
- Support the preparation, review and close-out of Gateway/BSR quality evidence packs, ensuring required records are complete, approved where applicable and available for client, regulatory and handover review.
- Manage benchmark/First of Kind inspections and approvals for repeatable fit-out installations, ensuring agreed standards are recorded, communicated and used as the reference point for ongoing works.
- Manage non-conformances, defects and quality observations, ensuring timely reporting, root cause review where required, corrective action and close-out with the site team.
- Support snagging, pre-completion inspections and room/area handover close-out, ensuring outstanding defects are tracked, evidenced and closed prior to completion or final handover.
- Support document control by reviewing, updating and maintaining QA/QC documents, ITPs, checklists, hold point evidence and inspection records in line with ISO requirements, project procedures and BSR/Gateway information requirements.
- Support QA coordination across Errigal’s role as main contractor and/or subcontractor, ensuring inspection responsibilities, quality records and reporting routes are clearly managed between project teams, package teams, subcontractors and the client.
- Provide quality support and guidance to the project team, promoting best practice, right-first-time delivery, Golden Thread record management and compliance with client, regulatory and project-specific requirements.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
